With competition from national retailers, the Natural Food Exchange relaunched as a 100% non-GMO store with an emphasis on fresh, local foods and healthy take-out meals to differentiate themselves as an independent locally-owned store supporting the community.
Jute Marketing launched a mobile-friendly, content-driven website as a platform for the mission-driven store to position themselves as educators and healthy living experts.
Media outreach resulted in a feature in Edible Boston magazine and other coverage reaching key market areas. Also trained staff on social media and collaborated on special events to increase visibility.
